Sneaking out at the back, sneaking in at the front II

Sneaking out at the back, sneaking in at the front II

Live and durable
Testing the admissible
We came and saw and charged about
In a battery of scientific rage and roustabout
Who are you to offer any intellectual challenge?
To tear and scribe and whine in all your malice?
You have yourself an audience with real believers now
Who’ll shape and snare words with you
As you worship your holy cow
Stick pins in your pink chins and kick their shins
To check the sophistications and criticise alliteration
To be proud and scornful and avoid masturbation
Like you’re some kind of bony fasting fastidious saint
We see through you like wet tissue and you are profane
Don’t try to explain or slip out of the blame
Here is the weakest of strong poetry
Undermining and underpinning your progressive snobbery
I am the voice of the clean rat who sees you
Poisons the timbers and plaster world you adhere to
The cat’s whiskers snigger and tremble
Here comes something that nothing resembles
More like the lunatic scribbles
That so trouble.
